Email Marketing

Creating and Sending Emails

The first key feature of our email marketing system is the email editor tool. Being sophisticated but user-friendly, the email editor enables you to create your own email campaigns without the need for technical knowledge.

Newsletter templates

Simply add your content

Create your email

Simply add your chosen text and images to the email editor and use the preview facility to see your email develop. Once you have added some content the email editor saves your work so you can always return to it later.

Design made easy

Let us do the design work for you and select one of our newsletter templates branded to your own company. Then simply add your content by filling in the gaps.

Target your clients

For email campaigns targeting clients with specific interests, our email marketing system enables you to segment your mailing list into different groups for more effective marketing.

Test and send

Test out your email campaign by sending a draft to yourself and colleagues to review first. Then when your email is ready to go, simply click send or schedule your email to be delivered at a specific time over the coming month.

Efficient delivery

Our email marketing system takes care of all the technical issues to maximise efficient delivery of your email campaigns, with additional tools available to manage subscription and spam testing.

Managing Your Email Lists

The second key feature of our email marketing system is the list management tool, providing you with easy setup of email lists and capture of subscriber data.

Import email lists

Targeted email lists

Automatic management

Import email lists with ease

The list manager allows you to import your email lists from existing files with ease. Further information on recipients (e.g. age, interests, etc.) can also be imported alongside the email address. Adding and removing subscribers manually involves just a single click.

Create targeted email lists

To help target your email campaigns at specific groups of subscribers, the list manager enables you to create sub-lists of subscribers based on custom fields and previous campaign activity. Depending on the data you have available, you can segment your list according to subscribers’ gender, country, interests. You can also define your sub-list according to those recipients who opened a previous campaign or clicked on a specific link.

Capture new subscribers from your website

To help you capture new subscribers, we can add a subscription form to your website which can be personalised to capture useful information on subscribers and their interests. New subscribers who sign-up this way are then automatically added to your email list.

Automatic management of unsubscribers

Each email you send includes a single-click unsubscribe link to comply with our anti-spam policy. To make your life easier and comply with spam laws, our email marketing system manages unsubscribers, bounces and any spam complaints on your behalf.

Data export

The list manager tool enables you to export data on your subscribers to excel. You simply select which subscribers (i.e. all, active, bounced, unsubscribed, or manually deleted) and which pieces of information (e.g. email address, name, date of birth, etc.) you want to export.

Reporting and Analytics

The third key feature of our email marketing system is the real-time reporting tool which analyses the effectiveness of each email campaign you send. A short introduction to each report is provided below.

Worldview

Email client usage

Snapshot

The snapshot report provides a summary of the key results for your email campaign all on one page. Here you can see how many recipients opened your email, clicked on a link, and shared your email with friends. You can also see how many recipients did not open your email, marked it as spam, or unsubscribed from your list. The snapshot report also identifies which were the most popular links in your email and the top countries where recipients opened your email from.

Recipient activity

The recipient activity report gives a summary of who opened your email and which links they clicked on. You can also find out here which recipients unsubscribed from your mailing list or marked your email as spam.

Link activity and overlay

The link activity and overlay report ranks the links in your email on their popularity, showing the number of unique clicks, clicks per person, and total clicks, as well as the links which did not receive any clicks from recipients.

Social sharing and forwards

For email campaigns set up for sharing on social network sites such as Twitter and Facebook, the social sharing and forwards report tells you the recipients who mentioned your email on Twitter or liked your email on Facebook. This report also shows you which of your recipients forwarded your email to a friend.

Worldview

The worldview report provides a real-time map of your campaign activity by country, showing the number of recipients who opened and shared your email, and clicked on links for each country.

Opens and clicks over time

The opens and clicks over time report provides a timeline of when your recipients opened your email and clicked on a link.

Email client usage

The email client usage report identifies which email clients your clients are using. This information can help you to identify which email clients your email campaigns need to be most compatible with.

Bounce summary

The bounce summary report identifies which of your recipients did not receive your campaign. The report shows the number of soft and hard bounces as well as the bounce domains. Recipients with hard bounces are automatically removed from your email list.

What is a bounce?
A ‘bounce’ means that when your email was sent to a specific address the mail server receiving that email sent it back saying it could not be delivered. A ‘soft bounce’ refers to an email message that is temporarily undeliverable. Reasons for a soft bounce include the file size of the email being too large or the recipient’s inbox being full. A ‘hard bounce’ refers to an email message that is permanently undeliverable. Reasons for a hard bounce include use of an invalid email address or a recipient blocking your emails from their server.
